For PAWS Charity Series: Sekhmet; Long Strand OUT OF STOCK

Sekhmet (Sakhmet) is one of the oldest known Egyptian deities. Her name is derived from the Egyptian word “Sekhem” (which means “power” or “might”) and is often translated as the “Powerful One” or “She who is Powerful”. She is depicted as a lion-headed woman, sometimes with the addition of a sun disc on her head. (from https://ancientegyptonline.co.uk/)

The sale of this strand will be donated to the Performing Animals Welfare Society to assist in their efforts to end animal captivity and save animals from a life of torture as part the animal performance industry in circuses and roadside zoos.

Stones, Beads, Intentions and More:

Tiger's Eye is said to provide perseverance in times of anxiety, and stress. We consider this in terms of the stress that captive performing animals experience. Hold these beads in the sun and focus on the shimmering gold and solid black stripes in the 12mm globes and rondelle beads to help calm your mind. Wear long to keep the power of the stones closer to the navel and root chakra so its powers work in harmony.

Dispel your own fears, stand a bit taller with confidence and *pride* like the tigers that live and thrive, saved from a life of abuse and torture. The strand is completed with a tiger's eye scarab connector, sourced from a vintage bracelet. Approximate length: 40". (Carved tiger's eye obelisk for display purposes only, not for sale.)
