Poisons: The Gift of the Borgias; Long Strand OUT OF STOCK

$0.00

The Borgia Dynasty of Spain rose to great power and prominence during the Renaissance period (15th and 16th Centuries). The were notoriously powerful family during a time when Spain was ruled by the Catholic church. The Borgias produced two popes in the lineage: Pope Callixtus III and Pope Alexander VI. As is consistent with all religion, and especially the most powerful religion: Christianity/Catholicism, the Borgias were rife with sin, hypocrisy and scandal.(remember, Martin Luther’s Reformation had not happened yet, therefore we did not have denominational faiths – you were either Catholic, Jewish or a heretic!)  They were known to destroy their enemies particularly by arsenic poisoning.

Legend has it “Gift of the Borgias” was a term that came about as a result of the family’s (ahem) misdeeds.  Approximate length 29”. (Onyx pyramid for display purposes only, not for sale.)

Stones, Beads, Intentions and More:

The green stones and glass beads of varying shades and shapes; light and dark Czech glass, peridot, jasper, emerald, dragon's blood, gold plated hematite, grey hematite, black jet, onyx, tourmaline.

The color green is often associated with life, renewal, nature, and energy, and also with meanings of growth, harmony, freshness, safety, fertility, and environment. Green is also traditionally associated with money, finances, banking, ambition, greed, jealousy; the contradictions can be tricky to work with. To compliment or offset (depending on your intentions) the duality of green, we have included a variety of black beads for protection and to deflect negativity. Green also points to the 4th Heart Chakra which serves as a bridge to the lower triangle of the root, sacral and solar plexus and the upper triangle throat, third eye and crown chakras. We must always connect the heart, but be careful not to become a martyr, or become judgmental in connecting with a sense of right and wrong. Share freely, but don’t get carried away thinking that recognition is entitled. Lucky color in China (wealth and money) however can also be identified with infidelity. Green can be possessive of people and materialistic. (Green with Envy)

Be careful with these, my darlings.
