Considered a protective stone, somewhat rare; hypersthene helps create calmness and quietness within the mind of the wearer. According to metaphysical beliefs, hypersthene grounds us in an attempt to shield from hectic stimuli. Included is faceted goldsheen obsidian, which is formed when gas bubbles are aligned along layers created by flowing lava before it solidified. It is said to be particularly suitable for scrying and also thought to be ideal for balancing energy fields and releasing the ego; affiliated with the root chakra, though it is said to have applications to the solar plexus and third eye chakras. There is also starcut onyx a semi precious stone for protection, and tiny shiny spinel which is said to repel negativity and ground the user while evoking inspiration and empowerment, without overwhelming others. It is also thought to help one find calmness and let go of resentments to re-establish relationships and dispel sadness.
